Cash Rewards: Making Money While Shopping
Here in Australia, we don’t have the number of incentives that our USA counterparts have for shopping. Well, that is until recently.
I don’t do a lot of shopping but when I do it is online and I do tend to hunt for the best deals mostly. Like many people, I have had mismatched success with reward programs and incentive programs that often get to cumbersome to use. So when Cash Rewards came to Australia my excitement was just a little bit jaded.
Many reward schemes work on points or shopping experiences. For example, get points every time you shop and these will convert to a $ discount when you reach a certain amount of points. I have Flybuys so every time I get 2000 points (roughly spend $2000) I get $10. Not much is it? If I buy 10 coffees I get the 11th coffee free at my local cafe’, not a mind-blowing incentive is it?
What makes Cash Rewards so much more appealing is they give you real money in return for shopping with the retailers they have listed. It is not taken off the bottom line of your purchase but is added to your Cash Rewards account for you to withdraw back to your chosen account. Cash Rewards are also applied to experiences such as restuarants and tangible shopping with more businesses coming online each time you visit.
For example today I shopped at Amazon online and spent $257.81 with free shipping. Amazon have offered a Cash Reward of 12% on my order. This will be added to my Cash Rewards account making my real purchase price $226.87 a saving of $30.94. No other retailer online or in-store could match this.
Cash Rewards is not limited to shopping online. List your credit cards on their site and whenever you shop in-store with a Cash Rewards listed business you instantly get a return. For example, I ate at Crinitis a few days ago, tapped my card to pay and got $7.11 back. Ok, not a lot of money but I only spent $64.68 at least it was my GST plus a little more back (11%).
I have just also booked a weekend break using Expedia. The total cost is $1632.00 and I will get on completion of the break $146.88 back. Yes, it is listed on my account.
Then there is my Coles Online Shopping. I am not new to Coles Online Shopping however I am new to getting such a nice return for shopping with them. My shop came to $215.55 with free delivery (I never pay for delivery) and a $10 discount coupon, Coles has dropped a nice 10% of my shop into my Cash Rewards account to the sum of $21.55, a nice additional saving of $21.55. First time to shopping with Coles? They offer even bigger Cash Reward returns on your first shop!
Including a small purchase from iHerb I have made returns since 30 November 2019 of $219.62 all stress-free purchases that I would have made regardless.
Just to wrap up you can get Cash Rewards on your groceries, holidays, fashion, electronics, ok just about everything you are looking for there is a business listed on the Cash Rewards website. There is also a nice addon for your browser that takes the guesswork out of manually checking for retailers listed on Cash Rewards, it will let you know if the site you visit is offering you cash when you buy. Download the addon once you are signed up, it is simple to install.
There really is no excuse not to give Cash Rewards a try given that signing up is totally free.
I cannot recommend Cash Rewards highly enough. For that reason, I would like to give you the opportunity to try Cash Rewards and get an instant additional $10 on top of your first Cash Reward listed retailer purchase of $20 or more.
